The push to put together Synetic Theater's ninth installment of their renowned Silent Shakespeare series is almost in full gear. The director, Paata Tsikurishvili, will be putting his dramatic twist to the show that we (the production team) feel is going to be a one hell of an awesome show. There are a lot of great ideas and scene works that we are anxious to start rehearsing on the shallow pool stage in 2 1/2 weeks time.
There will be a lot of projection in the show and I have about 3 scenes and dozens of magic effects to fully design and animate alone, not including working with pre-recorded materials and stills in 4~5 other scenes. My list was so long that I blanked out about a week ago, lost in my head as to where to start. I have started to produce some rough multimedia files to test in rehearsal and hopefully most scenes will be in it's rough forms in 10days.
The above illustration is a little teaser of what is to come. It's a creature design for one of the interactive scenes with Aerial, which I hope to rehearse in a week's time.
