I'm no huge opera lover, but am a fan of Lepage's work. (I've started to think that I should seriously consider plotting a way to work for one of his shows) The design and technology he achieved was amazing in Wagner's Ring cycle which premiered earlier this year at The Met. Although I probably couldn't sit through hours of opera over couple of shows, (I failed to be actively engaged with 6 hour "Roman Tragedies" by Toneelgroep of Amsterdam) I definitely appreciated the making of documentary.
Instead of making an expensive trip to The Met, we all have a chance to see Lepage's less popular The Tempest tomorrow 12:55PM EST at selected movie theaters. It's not as woo - ahh technically. Nonetheless I'm looking forward to picking up couple of inspiring scenes.
